Can anyone tell me if windows CE version 6.0 or embedded XP or emedded windows 8 will work on a SSD drive and what the write cycles would be.

If the platform (hardware) will support SSDs, then yes you can use an embedded OS. What are the specs for the system in question?

I'll find out on Monday - I suspect it's a touch panel PCM with a proposed SSD drive with windows ce loaded
