Hi,
I have a motherboard that supports DDR2 800 and DDR3 1333 Memory.At a time either ddr2 or ddr3 can be used. I was using 2GB DDR2 800 that has failed.As I need to replace with a new one what should I go in for,DDR2 800 or DDR3 1333?
At my place only DDR2 800 or DDR3 1333 is available and DDR3 is cheaper.Performance wise which would be better?
I have a Intel Pentium D 930 processor(3.0 GHZ/800 MHZ FSB)

Solution
I answered already. My first answer told you that ddr3 will be faster and my second answer told you that for your setup, it will not make noticeable difference. Your processor is the weakest link if you decide to go ddr3. But I don't see a reason not to use ddr3 because you can reuse them if you decide to get a new mobo in near future.

The question is not what is faster but what will be faster DDR2-800 or DDR3-1333 with a 800MHZ FSB CPU?
