Hello,
I have just budgeted $500 for PC upgrades and am not entirely sure as to what I should buy. I have been thinking about getting a 2nd GTX 480 or a 580 and use my 480 for PhysX, though that seems like a waste of a $500 card. I also thought about getting a 3D Vision kit and a 3D monitor for gaming, or even some more storage for my rig. I was wondering what you guys think I should do with my money based on my current system specs:

Intel Core i7 980X @ 4.5GHz
Asus Rampage III Extreme
12 GB Corsair Dominator GT DDR3 1866
Asus ENGTX 480
OCZ Vertex 2 60GB MLC SSD
2x 1TB WD Caviar Black SATA III 6.0GB/s RAID 0
Corsair Hydro H50
Coolermaster Haf 932 Blue LED Edition
ABS Majesty 1100 Watt PSU
1x BR read/writer
1x DVD/CD read/writer w/ lightscribe

Thanks!

I agree with O1die. There is no reason to upgrade that setup. If you need a dedicated Phys X card, then by all means shop around, but there should be no reason to change that setup.

Is it worthwhile to do 3D Vision though? 'Cause I've been browsing around and it looks like I'm going to end up having to pay a minimum of $500 for the 3D Vision kit and a good quality, good size monitor to go with it.

A 480 GTX for dedicated physx.! That's rich but quite a waste of money.. As also is any expenditure done towards a 3D vision setup as of now.. Your rig looks nice and complete to recommend any upgrades.. The most you can do is get another 480 in there.. If you really feel the need for a dedicated physx card then just get a 768MB GTX 460..
