Notan,
I've had bad experences with Gateway. Dell, the fact they are
open about using less quality products and the fact I am forced to get
software I don't want or need. Which will force me on Day one to
reinstall XP (long story - based on supporting Dell Users).

Buy at Costco, if you live in the US. 6-month return policy, no
questioned asked cash back. My guess is, if you have a legitmate
issue, they might even take it back beyond the 6-month period. That's
the way Costco is.
You can even buy from Costco.com, have something shipped to you, and
return it to the store with the same return policy. Costco even
sells Dell stuff (even if you are excluding them) off their website,
with the same Costco policy. Note that not everything you see on the
website is available at a Costco store and vice-versa.

Well, try Costco, SAM's Club, Best Buy, CompUSA, Fry's, Circuit City, or you
can go to their online equivalents.
