How to you do a clean install of Windows 8 using Raid 0 and 4 SSD's?

When you connect all four drives to your computer you want to have them connected to the same sata ports under the same controller and that means you need 4 sata 3 ports that are controlled by the Intel chip. You should then make sure that in the bios the sata mode is changed to raid and before the Windows install you losd the raid drivers and before the Windows install starts you have to enter the raid bios and create the raid array.

I've changed my mind and want to only connect 2 ssd drives in RAID 0 to install a clean install of Windows 8. How do I make sure that the Bios is in Raid Mode? I have a ASUS Maximus V EXTREME motherboard. Or, should I even bother with the Raid mode, bc I have 6 ssd drive (all bt 256mb to 512mb in size) and a std 3G HG for data? Would Raid not really make a noticeable increase in performance for gaming and video editing.
