Upgrading cpu

i own a asus F690GVM motherboard. i have a AMD X2 athlon dual core processor..2.09Ghz. Will it be a problem to upgrade to an AMD phenom?

Phenom I will be fine.

Phenom II is a nogo.

Save yourself some trouble and buy a new motherboard and processor.

The original Phenoms arent worth anything.

As a reply, Phenom I chips can work on that board, ive done some research.

Hypertransport will be gimped though. Phenom II as I said is a nogo.
