All, I am planning to build a new Sandybridge i5 2500K with Radeon 8570, 8GB ram. I have been reading the boards, Newegg, TigerDir and Amazon. I have also read the reviews on most of the popular boards spoken about in these forums. The problem is that according to reviews, the Asus P8P67Pro is the best overall board for bang for the buck but there are lots of complaints about problems with this series of boards. Some other boards have higher ratings but only a few reviews which make me suspect.

Can anyone in the community enlighten me? I really like the features of the Asus board but don't want to buy something that is not reliable and has a good chance working out of the box.

Thanks for any insight from the users perspective!

You only get what you pay for, no freebies . Good boards get few reviews because they work better and there are no complaints . If it not squeal it won't get the grease.
Cheaper boards , you have to get lucky , for good performance . It is all in the hi-tech caps.
