Restore a backup pbd file

Hello,
I backed up a WD passport drive to my computer so that I could reformat the passport for temporary use on a MAC. I've converted it back to PC use again and want to transfer the backup files to the drive again. The files are within a .pbd file on my desktop, but I can't 'explore' them or find a way to reverse the backup. Sure, I could copy that .pbd file to the passport, but I can't see any of the contents.

You have to use the same application to restore the files as you used to create the backup. You actually mean you don't remember what application you used to make the backup with?
