Radeon HD 5770 vs nvidia geforce

Hello, I have a choice between Nvidia GeForce GTX260 and ATI Radeon HD 5770. Which one is better for stuff like video editing and 3D rendering? Also, for the same purposes, is i7-860 better or Phenom ii x6 1035t?

the 260 might be better if you're doing CS5 as CUDA should help. But overall the 5770 is a better card that runs cooler, quieter and draws less power.

For the CPU its the i7-860 as its really the 1055/90T that competes with the 860.

By the way, is this on a Dell XPS? You could save a few bucks by building it your self.
