Building My First PC

Hi everybody, I'm trying to build a pc, but im kinda confused to what parts I should get. So far I have these:

1.ASUS M4A88TD-M/USB3 AM3 AMD 880G SATA 6Gb/s USB 3.0 HDMI Micro ATX AMD Motherboard
2.AMD Athlon II X4 635 Propus 2.9GHz Socket AM3 95W Quad-Core Desktop Processor ADX635WFGMBOX

I planed my budget to be around 700. I will be using this computer for work, using the internet, and gaming.

  1. Welcome to the forum!

Start out by reading the guides at this site - http://www.tomshardware.com/forum/288241-31-read-posting-buyer-guides-troubleshooting

Simultaneously, visit some computer shops like MicroCenter, Fry's, CompUSA, and check out the computer cases on display, PSUs, video cards, etc - ask plenty of questions. This will give you a higher confidence level and the satisfaction that YOU designed the system.

Once you have the basic system put together, post it here and ask for opinions.

    Good luck!
  2. I recommend with a Phenom II 955 processor instead of the Athlon II just because of higher clock speeds and more cache memory

I would also recommend an ATX sized motherboard for more expandability

I dont know what graphics card to choose, what is your screen resolution?
