Question on UPS

Hello,
question guys: so does one need to get a UPS and plug that into a surge protector which is plugged into the wall to have full protection, or will a UPS on its own give full protection without the need for a surge protector?

You can, but its not necessary. UPS do take care of the power fluctuations quite well.

Yeah, you don;t really need a surge protector, the ups will do the job on its own well-

When you read articles about protecting your PC w/ a UPS OR surge protector, you won't see UPS AND Surge protector. SP's and UPS in combination is a bad thing.

Be aware that the cheaper UPS that produce of square sine wave don't work w/ many Active PFC power supplies.
