I have an Asus M4A88T-V MB with an AMD Phenom 945 CPU. I have CentOS 5.6 installed and has been running fine for 7 months. Upon powering up yesterday I got the ASUS 'logo screen' but the computer would proceed beyond this. I powered down and up several times to this same symptom. Then I powered up and hit the 'delete' key to get into the BIOS, the computer started to POST but stopped after the USB messages and did not proceed. 'Ctr-Alt-Del' does not work here, nor do any other keyboard commands. I then reset the CMOS and upon rebooting, it will not even go past the ASUS 'logo screen'. I then removed the battery and again reset the CMOS and same thing, won't go past the ASUS 'logo screen'. The computer makes 1 short 'beep' when powering up, video works fine, have tried putting RAM in different slots. I suspect a bad MB but wanted a 'second pair of eyes' on this.
