Hi,

I currently own a Gigabyte GA-M68MT-S2P Motherboard. I am looking to put a Radeon 6790 graphics card into my system; however, I am concerned that it will not fit. The reviews say that it takes up two PCI express slots... is it okay to cover up some of the stuff in the motherboard?

Here is a picture of my motherboard (click to enlarge): http://www.gigabyte.us/products/product-page.aspx?pid=3...

Here is the graphics card: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E168...

I want to make sure this will fit before I buy it. =)

Thanks a ton,

Selvester

Dual slot cards are designed to fit almost all motherboards. You will only lose the use of the adjacent x4 slot.

If there is any fit issue, check the length of the card vs the space in your case. I think that is 10.5"

So I can cover up the metal thing (IDK what it is called) right below the PCI x16?

Yes, the graphics card is high enough to not interfere.
