ok i have been searching around and i found a decent build but theres a problem i am not sure witch should build should i go with ( going to use the pc mainly for gaming and browsing ) Note:my monitores max rez is 1440x900

intel build:-

core 2 duo e7500
Gigabyte GA-G41M-Combo motherboard
2.5gigz of ddr2 ram
a gamma PSU 500 watt its popular here in egypt
sapphire HD 5750 graphics card

total cost 2200 EGP

AMD Build:-
Amd Athlon II x4 620
Gigabyte GA-M68M-S2P
2,5gigz of ddr2 ram
same PSU gamma 500 watt

TOTAL COST 2100

and if i go with an i3 build:-

Intel® Core™ i3-530 2.93GHz

GIGABYTE GA-h55-USB3 Motherboard
4gigz of ddr3 ram 1333MHz
radeon 5750
gamma PSU 500watt
ill be shooting at the 3000 EGP mark which i do not have atm :pfff: should i wait or just get the quad?

OH and just for the hell of it my current specs are
PEntium 4 631+ 3ghz - 800MHZ FSB -2mb L2 cache NO OVERCLOCK
Biostar p4m900-m7 SE MOBO
2.5gb ddr2
geforce 7200 GS
an ugly case with a twin fan 300 watt PSU

So which build should i go with?

If you're not limited to these 3, here is another:

Athlon X3 440 or X3 445
4GB DDR3 RAM
785G mobo from either ASUS or Gigabyte
HD 5750 (seems like you're on a budget)
Spinpoint F3 500GB
Antec Eco 520W PSU (don't buy PSU's from unknown manufacturers!)

Or if you're limited to these 3, then go for the i3 build, just change the PSU to the Antec Eco 520W.

the problem is my limit is roughly 2150 and thats an over estimate if i sell the old p4 and mobo thos 2 could rake up 300 EGP and with alil bit of help from my parents it could get to 2500 but that build costs 2945 in egypt and thats without the hardrive.

whats the diffrence anyways betweem athon x3 445 and 435?
and is 4 gb ddr3 memory really that needed? whats wrong with ddr2? i heard there wasnt much of a diffrence.

The AMD build, the difference between the 445 and the 435 is that the 445 is clocked higher. DDR2 is old and slower, and costs the same. You also can't use many motherboards with DDR2 and its a really big big waste.

thx everyone i have decided to go with the amd build and with the following

Amd Athlon x3 435 (will over clock it to 3.3)
Gigabyte GA-MA74GMT-S2 mobo
CORSAIR Value 2GB DDR3 1333 X2
OCZ StealthXStream 500W powersupply
Radeon hd 5750
the total:2565 LE
old p4 and mobo+3gigz ddr2 ram=roughly 450EGP
total price=2115 EGP

what do u think?
:D

sry for the change of mind for the like 5th time but ill go with the intel build cuz my new limit is 3000

core i3 530 @ 2.9 650 LE
GIGABYTE GA-h55-USB3 670 LE
CORSAIR Value 2GB DDR3 1333 Desktop Memory 285 LE
XFX HD5770 850M 1GB GDDR5 1035 LE
HEC (Gamma) 500wt powersupply highest quality PSU in egypt 360 LE

the total is EXACTLY 3000
should i sacrifice the 5770 and get the 5750 and with the extra money get another stick of ddr3 ram?
the 5770=1035 LE
the 5750=880 LE

the total WITH the 5750 and 4 Gigz of ddr3 ram is 3130 LE
130 over budget

Get the 5770 and later upgrade to 4GB RAM.
