Formatting a hard drive.

Hello,
I have replaced my harddrive but now it won't load the operating system it appears it does not recognice the harddrive from what I have been told and that it needs to be formatted?????

Did you install the OS on the new hard drive? If not, you'll need to find the installation disk, and run that. There will be a wizard that will walk you through the formatting and OS installation process.
