I have a 9400 GT and need a good upgrade. I am not new to gaming, but I am new to the computer side of things. Buying a new power supply is not a big deal if I need to also.

More about : upgrade 9400

What is your budget?

Also the your systems full specs would be helpful.

Thats a huge jump from a 9400GT. Planning to upgrade that monitor soon?

If you do, a 5850 like this would be great for up to 1080P, $280: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E168...

Or a GTX460 If you prefer Nvidia, a a little worse single card performance, but in SLI it should the match the 5850s with ease: $200 http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E168...

If not, something like a HD5770 should be your best bet, only $150 and should max out pretty much all games for a while on that screen: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E168...
