Hi everyone, About time I joined these forums, Anyway to the point a its quite urgent..
A while ago, several months, I attempted to create a JBOD Raid (I forget which, dont normally do Raid) across two 2TB drives. after giving up on that I reformatted both drives to single 2TB drives and began using them.
Now, 4 days ago my motherboard died, while its off under warranty im using an Intel board im borrowing from the computer shop I work at, When i first booted everything installed driver wise, the hard disks showed up, all of them, including my 2TB drive, Q:
BUT after a restart, Drive Q: was no longer there, and upon inspecting Disk Management I found that its showing up as an uninitialized drive of capacity 4TB (you know 3 something something something).
Is anybody on here able to shed some light on what has happened here and If i'm able to recover my data?
My only thought would be initialize and format the drive and then try a data recovery program on it.. to see if i can recover it or rebuild the partition, all i need is to get it working long enough to pull my data off onto a new drive, so roughly 15 hours ^^"
Any help or suggestions would be appreciated!
