I have a PnP modem. When my system is shut down it would sometimes switch my modem to COM3 even though I don't have a COM3 listed in the system configuration. I would fix the problem by deleting my modem and rebooting, thus reinstalling the modem. Recently I was tweaking the settings on win98 because I'm is the middle of switching ISP's. Anyway I uninstalled the modem and now I can't get the computer to recognize when I boot it up. Can anyone help me out?
