Hi all. I'm building a PC for my kids. I managed to reach 4.7 Ghz on an E8600 with decent temps below 1.45V. I would like to set it in a Xfire configuration, my question is ??

What V cards can I get or should avoid in order not to make the CPU the bottleneck in the system ??

Thanks.

Your cpu will not be the limiting factor with any sane graphics configuration.

For games in general, the graphics configuration is the limiting factor when you have a dual core @3.0 or better.
There are some exceptions.

I understand FSX and Supreme commander to be cpu bound; not many others. For any specific game a google search should find the cpu suggestions.

For the graphics cards, pick one that is suited to the resolution you want to play the games at.

A strong single card should suffice unless you have a 2560 x 1600 monitor, or will be using three monitors for surround gaming.
