ATI HD 4870

Hey,

I've been looking for a new graphics card around the £75 mark (HD5670 is really looking the "best" I can afford at the moment) when I came across this :

http://www.play.com/PC/PCs/4-/8857776/Play-Value-ATI-Radeon-HD-4870-512MB-PCI-Express-2-0-Graphics-Card/Product.html

Immediately alarm bells go off when looking this particular model / price. Whether it's ignorance or a large dose of snobbery I would not buy this card.

Am I just in my thinking? Will it burn up horribly or be ridiculously loud? What features are missing?

Some opinions on this would be greatly appreciated.

Cheers

  1. The picture shows it has a waterblock on. Which technically should add value as they're ~$30+ each, but to run it under air you'll need to buy a normal air cooler.

NEVER heard of Play Value before though, but if you want to take the risk, its a good deal.
