I looked through the details of both these mobos and they are identical. Can anyone tell me the difference between these 2 motherboards and the pros of the more pricier motherboard?

Thanks in advance

One has black slots and more heatsinks than the other. Functionally, they are VERY similar. I recommend going with the cheaper of the 2 unless money really isn't an issue and you really like the black slots.

One board is black and the other is blue? I went through them and the only thing that I could find was that the GIGABYTE GA-Z68X-UD3P-B3 to have enhansed power options so that it can support redundent power in a workstation type environment.

How important are those enhanced power options? What does this help?

Is the cheaper mobo a clear winner?

For a gamer/regular PC user, those features are of little value unless you are building a system with redundant power supplies. Otherwise the boards are the same (as you saw earlier yourself).

To me, the less expensive choice is the better for you.

Your call. Good luck!
