Is the Asus M4A87TD-evo motherboard futureproofed for AMD CPU's?

I have a Asus M4A87TD-Evo mobo with and AMD 965 CPU. Will I be able to upgrade to a future AMD processor without compatibility issues?

Only asus knows for sure. They write the bios files for your board. I would email their tech support before assuming you can run am3+. Don't take someone else's word for it. I got both foxconn and ecs to write a new bios for two boards; surely asus will do the same if possible, but be specific with your request and use the proper form.
