That your only choices? Fortron FSP400-60APN 400W (85PLUS) 12cm probably the best.

(PS. Sparkle is a sub-brand of FSP(Fortron Sparkle), so he probably read the first one as "Sparkle-Fortron 400W PFC")

Out of the three get the FSP ones, they are the best company out of the three (but even then their products are just average.)

Try finding an Sesonic M12 II 430W/Corsair CX400/Antec Earthwatts 380/430W and see how much they cost.

the 9800GT is not much of a power hog, even a generic 400w PSU can run it. I would go with FSP400-60APN 400W (85PLUS) 12cm. It's 85 plus (hopefully accurate) and FSP is a very large PSU OEM.

BTW, FSP makes a few PSU for antec, zalman, silverstone, and OCZ among many other PSU brand names.

Is FSP400-60APN 400W (85PLUS) 12cm better then Fortron FSP500-60APN 500W (85PLUS) or Chieftec 500W CE 12cm PFC ?? better i mean by quality

And which card is better for gaming at 1280x1024 resolution? 9800GT from Sparkle or HD4850 from Giga-byte.

The first two is identical build, except the 500W outputs more power. Cheiftec PSU are made by Delta, if I recall correctly, whose quality is a hit or miss.

Get the Gigabyte 4870, performs ALOT better than the 9800GT, and Gigabytes a better brand than Sparkle.

most chieftec are made by Sirtec (they outsource to like 4-6 companies). a few are made by Delta like the GPS series (they also make antecs) and CWT makes their Super/Turbo series (they also make several corsairs). Delta PSU are pretty good overall but without an actual model number its hard to tell who made what.

Then things get fuzzier, Sirtec is another of the companys that can make excellent products but usually ends up makes generic messes. Just stick with FSP, theyre made by FSP and since its rated 85PLUS, should be at least a mid-range model.

Then can a Fortron FSP500-60APN 500W (85PLUS)
500W, Active PFC, 12 cm run HD4850 ? Is there a chance to go boom? Im just scared to burn up all my systeam, and in Latvia Corsair costs too much for my budget. So Please help.

Power supplies rarely fail catastrophically like that, especially with a low-power system like yours.

Youll be fine with that FSP, even the 400W as the 12V are rated at dual 17A, while the 500W is only dual 18A.
July 28, 2010 5:43:38 AM

How do you know my system? :D  Or you have readed my previous posts?
July 28, 2010 8:35:35 AM

450 will do it..
July 28, 2010 8:40:16 AM

OK, i have decided i will buy HD4850 from Giga-byte + Fortron FSP-500w psu 85PLus

P.S Thanks everybody for helping. ;)
