Stream processors

Hello,
ati 4870 has 800 stream processors and the nvidia GTX260 has 216 stream processors so which one is better

The stream processor on an ATI card is very different than the one on an nVidia card so you cannot directly compare their specs through core speed or core count, you need to look at the benchmarks.

They both perform similarly, but last i saw GTX 260s were going up in price so the 4870 was cheaper, but rather than a 4870 i would suggest a 5770, it uses significantly less power and provides similar performance.
