Do you know if they gonna be cheap like 1156 mobos? Could I find a sandy bridge mobo @ $100 at launch and not micro(i had enough of micro atx)?

Well, it is going to be their mainstream socket so I'd expect some sub $100 mobo's, but I wouldn't count on it for any full sized until a few months after release.

However, if they're still using 20 2.0 pci lanes like the 1156 then I'm staying away from this socket.

Hi demonnn, You really wont know for sure until they are released, your going to have to wait until late December or early January when Intel formally announces SandyBridge at CES.

But Gigabyte has announced quite a few 1155 motherboards with specs, but no prices as of yet.

As it's a mainstream socket like 1156 I don't see any reason why they'd be any real difference in price - maybe a tiny bit more expensive because it's new tech.

Other than the socket there's no new tech going on them.
