The second link isn't working. The asrock bios may be a little different. I go by the newegg reviews or do a search for a review of your specific model asrock. All manufacturers have some duds including asus. I also recommend downloading the board manual for the asrock and check the bios settings. See how close they are to your old asus.

I found out the phaes are too low .
Here is what over clocking . net said about the 2 boards regarding power delivery

970 Extreme4 Phases 4+1 Heatsinked yes TDP 140 We recommend 125W max, no OC
M4A89GTD Pro (/USB3) 8+2 Yes 140W 140W+

This sums it up if you want a decent board you got to spend the money I will keep the ASUS board until
the prices drop on the new boards.
