RAR and ISO files not being read by dvd

Sir/Madam,

I burnt some iso and rar files directly on my moserbaer dvd-recordable dvd from my fried's dell inspiron 15r .
It all seemed fine but when i put it in my compaq presario cq42-173tu dvd player it seems to only recognise file folders and exe files, but not iso and rar even f i have magic iso and winrar. These files are very important to me for my next semester . Please help................

Have you tried to re-associate the .iso and .rar files with the programs needed to open them? You can try right clicking on the file and choosing open with and if the program needed is not an immediate option you can still select the appropriate program though it takes a couple of more steps to do so.
