Help me pick a socket 775 mobo?

Had a bit of an issue last month which saw the end of my Gigabyte G41m-es2l so i'm in the market for a Socket 775 at the mo. I still have 4gb DDR2 and a nice core2quad so really don't fancy upgrading to a new socket/chipset right now.. I noticed on ebay I could get an Asus Striker 1 extreme for just £80, would this be a good choice? What chance do I have of getting a working one? Or should I stay well away from the Nforce 680i chipset? I have a £100 budget, any ideas? Any feedback is gr8ly appreciated

775 ddr2 boards are getting scarce. I can only advise you to buy new from a reputable vender. Don't get too hung up on the board chipset, especially if you only use one video card.

Most new LGA775 boards now use DDR3 RAM. and Gigabyte makes a DDR3 version of the G41 board. One of those and 4 GB of DDR3 should run less than 100 pounds.
