I have installed an SSD Intel 330 with a fresh Win7(x64) install.

AHCI is enable.
Other SATA drive:
Seagate baracuda 7200.12
LiteOn DVD drive

IDE Drive:

Sometimes, i get a SMART error at boot because the drive is not recognised by the system. I have to connect to another SATA port for the drive to be seen again.
Then it works perfectly.

It happens every 7 or 8 boot.

Intel SSD Toolbox reports the drive is fine. The latest firmware is installed.

Motherboard: Gigabyte MA770T-UD3P
SATA drivers: Windows 7 native

I have not installed any motherboard drivers, i am using all windows 7 default.

I will try to isolate the problem by using only the SSD for a while, to check the behaviour.

Have you seen anything like this?

Can you try another SATA cable?

In fact when i swap SATA port, i switch the sata cable between the SSD and HDD.

If the drive is not detected, i guess it has nothing to do with the AHCI drivers? it is more about BIOS version or a problem with the MB Sata port ?
