The motherboard I have at the monent is an 'ASUS P5G41C-M LX' and I am just curious as too what would be one of the best graphics cards compatible with this mobo and the rest of my components as I don't have much experience with PC's. Any help would be appreciated!
Motherboard: Asus P5G41C-M LX
CPU: Intel Core2 Quad CPU Q8400 @ 2.66GHz
RAM: 4GB DDR3
PSU: WinPower 500w
OS: Win7 Home Premium 64bit
Have you checked for the 6 pin pci-e connector on your power supply? Given your low end power supply, I'll recommend a lower video card solution to be safe. Checkout the xfx HD657X-ZHF2 for $64.99 after rebate at newegg. If you have the 6 pin pci-e connector on your power supply, checkout some of the 450 femi chipset cards. The xfx card I mentioned has a lifetime warranty if you register it online.
AHA. Your current video card is pretty good. I can't recommend a high end card without a good power supply. Get a corsair or antec with over 40 amps on a single 12v rail. I don't know what other brands are in your part of the world, but those 2 in the usa are highly recomended.
