Display error with my ATI 5770

Well i finnaly got the bloody card

But now i have black bard around my screen, like its TV and ive changed the aspect resio. Also ive regerstired on XFX's site, but it says i got the wrong email, even though its correct (ive copied it in after it said that) and also, how do i register the card? Id like the lifetime warrenty...

Try updating your ATi Catalyst drivers.

go to the 'desktop and displays' section of CCC, ensure you are at the correct (native) resolution of your monitor, and adjust overscan.

Hmm i went into CCC, no such luck still black bars around my screen. I couldnt pick 1900X1080 but it only have 1600X.
I then picked 1080p. I't looked like 1900X1800. Hmm i couldnt find "overscan"
Anysoloution? i have 10.7 driver. Why me...

What monitor do you have? it definetly supports 1920x1080?

try rolling back to cat 10.3. lots have issues have arisen in more recent releases.

10.3? ok. it does, cause i had it on before with my GT220, i was in Garrys mod and it said my native resolution was 1280X1024. That or lower is what i need to get it without black bars.-.-

what kind of cable are you using? are you using any kind of adapter?

sounds like it could be a problem with EDID profiles. im not entirely sure though, try older cat suite first and see what that does.

Well i went into the scaling options, (dug didnt see it) the scaling was set to low or whatever. It now seems to work, so thanks. il give you the ansewer welsh, you gave me all the help.
