GPU horizontal lines problems

Hello Guys
i have ati radeon x1950 Xt
I have one problem this days, when i turn on my PC in 1st 2-3 min in the top of my screen on monitor shows up like 3cm high black and white horizontal lines, after 2-3 min they disappear when i try to screen capture then to show u they can't be captured when paste in paint screen is normal... what can be the problem something like when GPU reaches some temperature they disappear?

Otherwise it could be a dying X1950XT, possibly overheating if your GPU fan is clogged/not moving or even broken.

so any solution or give me 3 months to buy new GPU ? :D  ahahhah

Try cleaning it out & installing the latest drivers, and see if that helps.

i try to clean but same problem... and driver can't be becuase i have installed 10.2 catalyst and this lines show up and in beginig in bios so that is hardware problem ... so solution is maybe in close future to buy new card so can u give me advice which GPU to buy who is close to this card.. example ati 4670 is close to this ??? or other who is not expencive.

The ATi Radeon HD 4670 will show quite noticeable improvements over your X1900 XT.

Try look at 5570 or 5670.
5670 is only faster than 5570 in terms of clock speed, which means you can get a 5570 and overclock it.
