Comparison Question

I am trying to better understand cpu basics and have a question. What is the difference performance wise between an Intel Pentium 4 Processor 2.8 GHz, and an Intel Core 2 Duo Processor 1.8 GHZ?

Many Thanks! :sarcastic:
