Im just wondering if its worth upgrading from a 2600xt to a 5550. Would i gain anything in games???

Okay, the rest of your system are great...
BUT, why do you want HD 5550???!

Get at least HD5770 or higher (HD5850 or GTX470) and fly with your PC... :)

im planning on getting a 5850 but i cant afford one at the moment so i was just wondering if i would get any noticable performance increase over the 2600xt until i can afford a 5850

so it's okay, get HD5570 at least... It MUCH faster than 2600XT... :)
