Hello,I'm purchasing a new desktop soon. Most likely alienware partially because I like the brand but also because I like the payment options. Also there back to school sale is on now so I thought it would be a good time to act.
Now I'm planning on getting I7 six core processor with it, 1gb 5870 graphics card, 12 gb of ram, 2 500 gb raid 0 hard drives and creative sound blaster xtreme audio sound card.
The rig is primarily for gaming and I don't want to do upgrades for a while after I buy it.
But how well will it work for video editing/ converting. My gf says even very high end PCs made for video converting will still take hours to finish off videos using adobe premiere pro.
How much will the performance of this pc help with that ?
