Hi. I downloaded and burned a Knoppix ISO, but while booting the
resulting CD on my HP Pavilion laptop I get a message saying
"non-emulation booting" and the boot process ends there. The CD worked
fine when I booted it from my brother's desktop.
>From what I read on Google, I need to set my Nero 5.5.9.0 to
"non-emulation" but I can't find such a setting on my version. Is
there a freeware burning app that will let me burn a bootable image
without getting the non-emulation error? Thanks.

The CD is booting by emulating a floppy boot disk; your computer does
not support this mode - it is a function of the ISO image, not the
burning method AFIK. You can get around this by booting with a CD that
is not emulating a floppy boot, then mounting the problem CD.
This site has a Mandrake 9.1 boot CD ISO image. Burn it to disk, boot
with it, and when it notifies that it can't find the install CD, replace
it with your problem CD.

I wanted this to work sooooo badly, but I got a "The page you are
looking for is currently unavailable." error. Thanks anyway.

Is there any place else I can get this boot file? Thanks.
