  1. Uhm, I'm pretty sure both of those are very very very old. If so, unless you plan on playing DOS games I don't think either will do.

Do you have links to these or more details about them?
  2. the hp is indeed old, came out in 2000 i think. I'll get specs
  3. Well I looked up the ibm netvista, and it too old to do anything with (as I'm sure the HP is too).
  4. Ok I found I dell gx260 in my price range as well. 1.8 ghz 512mb ram 20gig hard drive windows xp
  5. Whats is your price range, you can build a new setup for the cheap nowadays.
  6. Wow, I acutally have a dell gx260 in my service room, haha.

But yeah you can't do anything with that either, its too old.
  7. I can find alot of used computers for 50-70 easily. I'll be willing to dish out 70 on the card. Im just running 1 racing game, doesn't require anything hardcore.
  8. So $140 total?
  9. Yep, or i could just throw a card in my dell e520 maybe

Yeah! Thats much better then the computer you were looking at.

It even has a PCI-e slot.
  11. Specs? The unfortunate Celly would still be ta tad slow.

They came with different CPUs and the such, but it gives you a general idea.

Juding by those specs, why can't you play this one racing game on this computer? What is it? You may be able to play it at low settings depending on which card your 520 came with.
  13. I'll get the specs, 1 second
  14. You beat me to it, but I've been told that I need a better graphics card. The game stutters and lags alot

What game are you trying to play? You probably don't need one too great, and we can find one to compliment your computer well.
  16. Would the gx270 or 280 be ok? Really want one cpu for games only. Everyone uses the e520. Maybe all the files on this thing is messing up the ability to run a game
  17. The game is called street legal racing redline. Its an old game. You can see it on you tube
  18. It may be possible with an overpriced PCI card, but I wouldn't recommend it.

It is possible you have a lot of background processes and junk files that are slowing down your game, yes.

    I Know, but thses suck: "Intel® Pentium® 4
Intel Celeron 346",which could potentially mean why its so cheap.
  20. Hmmm im stuck. Im at a lost when it comes to computers. Glad you guys are helping me. So no dell gx series computers are any good? I'll try and find another e520
  21. Any reason you can't use the computer you have? We need to know exactly what CPU is your in e520. Can you download CPU-z and find out?
  22. is gateway any good?
  23. Yessir, will do now
  24. Just look for Pentium D 9XX, Core 2 Duo and Athlon 64 X2 and youll be fine.
  25. Intel Pentium 4 531
