What RAM timings & voltages do I select?

I just installed a brand new 12GB Kit of RAM. My new RAM is:
G.SKILL Ripjaws Series 12GB (3 x 4GB)
DDR3 1600 (PC3 12800)
Desktop Memory Model F3-12800CL9T-12GBRL

Unfortunately, I don't know very much about timings and voltages, so I wouldn't know what to pick. Can you please tell me what numbers to set for the timings and voltages?

I asked my friend what settings I should change and here is what he told me to put:

* Memory Feature = make it 1600 MHz

For Parameters:
* tCL Setting = make it 9
(Currently 6)

* tRCD Setting = make it 9
(Currently 6)

* tRP Setting = make it 9
(Currently 6)

* tRAS Setting = make it 25
(Currently 18)

* tRFC Setting = leave it at current setting of 86

* Command Rate = make it 2T
(Currently 1T)

* tsrRdTRd Setting = make it 6
(Currently 4)

* tddWrTWr Setting = make it 7
(Currently 7)

* tdrWrTWr Setting = make it 7
(Currently 7)

* tsrWrTWr Setting = make it 6
(Currently 4)


For Voltage Control:
* CPU VCore = bump it up +0.1mv

* DIMM Voltage = make it 1.65V
(Currently 1.500V)

But like I said above, all those numbers and changes are what my friend suggested to me. And to be honest, I don't have a clue if he's even correct, or if he's just guessing the numbers. So, I'd much rather trust you guys, because you are the experts - so I really need you to tell me what timing and voltage numbers to change. Because I literally don't even have a clue, as to what numbers to change.

All I would do is set the ram fsb if the board won't default to 1600; let the board automatically select the voltage and timings. Then use cpu-z to verify. Rarely do you have to set the timings manually, and sometimes the board won't post if you get one wrong.

Well, the reason I think I need to manually set the timings, is because my RAM is only working as "Dual Channel" - but that's wrong cause the RAM is DDR3 Triple Channel.

One of the channels isn't being detected, it's number says zero. Someone told me, that the reason my channel is not being detected is because my timings and voltages are set too low. That's why my computer is only using 8GB, even though I have 12GB installed.

So that's why I was asking you guys for the exact timings and voltage numbers I should change to.

Okay, I got help from EVGA (my MOBO Manufacture)

And I got help from G.Skill (my RAM Manufacture)

But they are both giving me conflicting advice.




Here are the settings EVGA told me to put down:

* 1600 MHz

* 1.5V

* 9-9-9-24-2N (Leave everything else as "Auto")
Now, I understand what the first 4 numbers are for, but what is "2N" and where do input that.

That's all EVGA wrote down for me to change.




But, G.Skill is telling me to change many more numbers & settings than EVGA did. Here's what G.Skill said:

tRTP - 7

tWR - 12

Rest can be AUTO

For Voltage Control:
* CPU VCore = bump it up +0.1V
(Currently +0mv)

* DIMM Voltage = make it 1.500V or 1.550V
(Currently 1.500V)




So who do I listen too? Do I just change a few things, like EVGA said - or do I change a bunch of things, like G.Skill said. Who's right and who's wrong?
