I have a GA-81845GV and what has happend is after a HD failure I installed a new 250GB IDE drive, installed XP etc, everything was working fine but now on a full shutdown and startup I get nothing but a fast paced beeping tone combined with the power LED flashing repeditivly,I've also noted the number 16 LED/DIOD on the main board is on.Any ideas as to what went wrong?

Refer to your mobo manual for the beep code. That will tell you whats going on.

Does the system POST normally if the drive is unplugged? Remember, you do not need drives connected to successfully (one short beep) complete the POST.
