I am currently putting together a new build. I want to equip my Z77 motherboard with 2x256GB Vertex 4 SSDs (I already own these) in Raid 0 (on the SATA III ports) for holding my Steam/Game Library.
Would it be wiser to purchase a 3rd SSD for my OS install (installed on a SATA II port) or simply place the OS on my Raid 0 drives?
What would the pro/cons be for using the same Raid 0 setup for my games and OS (besides the decreased reliability)?
Would the Samsung 840 120GB (non-Pro TLC, Read: 530MB/s, Write: 130MB/s, 4KB Read: 86k, 4k Write: 32k) make for a good boot drive for my system?
Thank you for your responses.
