Read your article in maximumPC mag about the HYNIX 16gb RAM. I am building a Video editing workstation and was planning on using an Intel 990X processor and in Intel DZ68DB motherboard. I would like to use the HYNIX 16gb RAM in it. On the Intel website, the do not list it as acceptable. Can I use it with this combination or would you have a better suggestion for a motherboard with the z86 chipset?

The hynix may still work; pay attention to the board specs. It states to use non-ecc 1.35-1.5v ddr3 at 1333 fsb. 1600 ram should still work, but may run slower. I recommend a matched 4x4 gb kit; newegg had some corsair xms3 1333 for only $129. I use gskill ripjaws, which is the same price.
