I've recently bought myself a Fuji A330 and am trying to find out whether
it's USB interface is the old USB1 or the newer Hi-Speed USB2.

I can find nothing in the manual or searching with Google.

Can anyone tell me?

Thanks.

Martin.

Thanks for the link - i took a look but could find no mention of the A330's
USB interface version....

So i did the obvious - a test!

I took 12 videos with my A330 totalling just over 94MBs in size.
I transferred them to my pc twice.
Once with my A330 plugged into a Hi-Speed USB2 port and once with my A330
plugged into a USB1 port.

The transfer times for the 94MBs of data were:

USB2 port 2mins 15secs

USB1 port 2mins 10secs

These transfer times indicate a data transfer rate of approximately 6Mb/s so
i think it's safe to assume that the A330's USB interface is version 1.

I think i'll look for an xD card reader - Hi-Speed USB2 of course :-)

Martin.

Are you in a hurry or shoot a lot of pictures that you need to download them
often?

BTW, I got the A330 as well. It is a basic camera, but it sure seems to nail
exposures well and delivers a sharp picture for 3MP resolution. No purple
fringing either.
