Vps info?

i recently bought a vps. host only specifies 3 cores but doesnt say speed. so i bought it and ran a command that i found from google and here is the info.

sorry, my knowledge of linux is limited, just know enough to get around things, and it goes same for cpus.

so does that mean 2.40 ghz per core, so 2.40 ghz * 3 cores = 7.2 ghz overall? since i am getting 3 cores.


or is it 2.40 ghz for all 3 cores together, hence 800 mhz per core?

It's 2.4ghz per core but you can't add them together to get 9.6ghz (4 cores) overall, it just doesn't work like that.

2.4 per core, and no you can't add them. It has 4 cores, by the way.
