Whats the rest of your system?
The GTS 250 is definitely overpriced.

Get the HD4890 is you have a beefy PSU, doesn't care about heat has don't need DX11.

If not, HD5770, though Im not too sure about VTX.

What brand/model is it? It should run the HD5770 fine, but the 4890 could have a problem its its not a quality one.

Ill have to open up and have a look, but the sytem is a dell precision 470 which I know meens nothing so ill have a look inside.

Make sure it fits though, those dell have a tendency to be BTX which sucks for dual-slot cards.

Oh my god im out of touch do you mean sli? by saying dual slot as I only have one PCI-E slot?

lol, no..

I'm saying all three cards you listed take up 2 slots , but some Dell systems Ive seen with BTX boards have trouble fitting even single-slot cards

well im not sure but i have 4 slots to the left of the pci-e and only one is taken with my wireless card, does that help?
