BIOS won't recognize drive SSD

I recently purchased an OCZ Vertex 3 Maxiops 120 gb SSD. After installing it I cannot get the bios to recognize the drive. I realize that I have to enable AHCI but I cannot figure out how to do it or if it is even possible with my motherboard. f

I have an older MSI K8N Neo4 Platinum SLI edition mobo. The power and SATA Cables are both functioning.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

It looks like you have to download the drivers from MSI: if it has the raid setting in the bios, that might load the SATA drivers also.

Thanks for the tip. I tried it out; however, the drivers wouldn't install as they are meant for Windows XP and I have Windows 7.

Just to clarify, I currently have 3 other SATA drives that work with the computer, so the problem isn't SATA not being enabled. I attempted to install the latest Bios; however, I got hte error message "BIOS not Award BIOS"

just out of curiosity, disconnect all other sata devices and only connect the SSD to the 1st SATA port.
