No Motherboard Beep, Everything else is fine, am I in the clear?

I built my computer yesterday. Everything booted up and worked fine. No problems what-so-ever. The friend who helped me build it though said there was no speaker cord running from the case to hook to the motherboard. So when I started it there is no beep. My sound though works fine when everything loads up on windows 7 64-bit. He said there was no cord for that slot but it really is not a big deal. Since the only thing I can see so far thats wrong is that there is not that beep on start-up, is there anything for me to worry about??

You're ok. A few boards still come with a built in speaker, but most rely on the case speaker. No problem.
