  1. Good choices. Use a tape measure for inside the hp case. The evga is over nine inches long, so you may have some clearance issues, and it may cover the pci slot next to the pci-e slot on the board.
  2. The Corsair TX is an older model. Its better you get something like Seasonic X650.

But if budget is a contraint, then TX650W is a potent PSU.
  3. Thanks!
    Height: 38.7 cm (15.23 inches)
    Width: 17.5 cm (6.89 inches)
    Length: 41.4 cm (16.29 inches)

    Bay size Total Bays*
    13.33 cm (5.25 inch) 2
    8.89 cm (3.5 inch) 3
    * Bays may be occupied by existing hardware.

this is the size of the power supply 5.9"(W) x 3.4"(H) X 5.9"(L). So I'll be taking out the tape soon. I found a great deal on a 750tx. However, what do modulaters apply to on these power supplies and also what do they mean when "VGA replacement only." on video cards?
  4. so your hp case is standard. sort of. it can take any standard atx psu as long as it isnt much longer than the standard atx size. un fortunately, many higher-wattage psus are somewhat longer, so you need to be careful. now, there is nothing wrong with the corsair tx 650w. it is an amazing psu, and if its the only one in budget then go ahead and get it! the corsair psu is 5.9 inches long. how long is the stock psu?
  5. Modulars provide better cable management because you only use the cables you need to. In non-modular PSU's all the cables are attached to the PSU and are cluttered. It especially comes in handy when you cabinet small or badly designed. Modular help in reducing the cluttering of cables inside the cabinet.
  6. Modulars are too expensive, and most aren't fully modular. Stick with the corsair, and tie down the extra cables.
  7. My current psu is 6 inches (15.25 cm) x 5 inches (12.7 cm) x 3.25 inches (8.25 cm). I thought about the 750tx because there was a better deal. However the dimensions of it were not given.
