Internal Hard drive wont show up in windows

Just got a seagate 500g internal hard drive. problem is that it shows up in bios and device manager but not disk management. My other hard drive is a 640gb WD w/ windows 7 64bit. Ive tried rescanning in disk management but still nothing. any ideas?! Thanks in advance

Try a simple swap into another sata port.

Good idea i suppose but still nothing.. Maybe i just got a bad drive
