Opticlear Lens Wipes

Hello, Recently my friend gave me a clean heatsink and a dual core. He said to use lens wipes on the dual core if I cannot get hold of any Isopropyl alcohol. Would Opticlear Lens Wipes be ok?

Sure, even purified water would be better as it won't leave behind deposits, just give it time to dry throughly. Alcohol is preferred because it evaporates quicker than water, so you don't have to wait. I use Vodka.

Vodka?
Don't use vodka. Drinking alcohol (not isopropyl) has lots and lots of yummy sugar in it. Part of the reason you can get pumped up when you booze it up, then crash.
Anyway, having sugar deposits on your sink or cpu isn't so great.

Lens wipes SHOULD be ok. Its not really that critical tbo, not unless you are going for a world record OC.

Vodka?
Drinking alcohol (not isopropyl) has lots and lots of yummy sugar in it. .

Vodka has no sugar in it, I'm just using vodka, no cranberry juice or sprite goes on the CPU
