Writing to write-protected usb key/thumb drive

I have a Transcend 512 MB Flash drive for my digital camera, and haven't had any problems, and all of a sudden, I cannot save any more digital pictures on it. It does not say "Full" on my camera, it says "Disc locked. When I insert the disk into my laptop, and want to delete files, it says it is write protected and I either need to remove the write protection, or use another disc. This has never happened before.

Is there a way I can remove the write protection to store more photos??
